HCR Group's Student Accommodation Receives ANUK Accreditation
21 July 2010
HCR’s ever popular student accommodation Alexandra House, located in Birmingham, has just undertaken its Accreditation Network UK (ANUK) assessment. ANUK is a national organisation, supported by the National Union of Students, which gives students the reassurance of knowing that their accommodation has been recognised as offering quality of service, and high quality housing.
The accreditation is voluntary and aimed at both educational establishments and private sector suppliers. Those who join ANUK do so as part of their commitment to providing students with a first-class housing service which covers not only the accommodation itself but the relevant procedures in place for health and safety, student applications and staff training.

In order to gain ANUK accreditation over 90 different aspects of the accommodation service were assessed, and the organisation also ensure they gain valuable insight from the students currently residing in the accommodation. ANUK were especially impressed with the current application and guarantor processes, welcome pack and tenancy agreement provided to students by HCR.
Alexandra House is conveniently situated for all of the Birmingham University campuses and has superb transport links to Birmingham City Centre. The accommodation comprises of 97 generously sized fully furnished study bedrooms covering four floors, each with Internet access. Every bedroom is located close to a large well-equipped kitchen, which even contain a personal lockable food cupboard for each student. The rooms cost from £75 per week including all utilities (council tax, water, gas and electricity) and no deposit is necessary.
