HCR has been helping organisations to successfully relocate their employees since 1982 and is now the UK’s largest independent relocation agent. 

Originally part of the Hambro, and then the Countrywide Group, we traded under the name Countrywide Mobility until 2006 and like most successful businesses, we’ve seen a few changes – including a management buyout in 2000 – during the last 28 years.

During this time we’ve gained extensive experience in all areas of relocation to become experts in the sector and, whilst we’ve continued to evolve and grow, our passion for providing a personal service to each and every client remains at the heart of our business.

When you contact us, you’ll speak directly with one of our Move Advisers. They will work as an additional member of your HR team, adding value to your relocation policy and individual budget holders. Many of these relocation specialists have been part of the HCR family for 14 years or more and, because we are owner-managed and independent, we’re extremely flexible and able to react rapidly to changing market conditions.

Our business model is simple but effective: it’s an open-book policy founded on transparency, honesty, communication and our passion for customer care.

We’re fiercely proud of our independence. We don’t have affiliate company relocation agents or charge estate and letting agents to become approved suppliers with guaranteed work. Instead we choose suppliers for the quality of their service, property availability and value for money. Contracts are based solely on the needs of our clients to offer them the best possible choice and the best possible deal.

We’re constantly innovating to enhance our service and are committed to developing our corporate social responsibility programmes. We’re certificated to Environmental Management System standard ISO 14001 and working towards the Information Security Management System standard ISO 27001.

Our professional memberships include: the Association of Relocation Professionals (ARP); the European Relocation Association (EuRA); the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development; and Worldwide ERC.

We are also extremely proud to have held ISO 9001 since November 1994 and Investors in People since February 1999.
